Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Kenneth R. White

Remember Our Heroes

Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Kenneth R. White, 35, of Fort Collins, Colo.

CWO3 White was assigned to 1st Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.; died June 5, 2011 in Khost province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered as the result of an OH-58D helicopter crash. Also killed was Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Bradley J. Gaudet.

CWO3 White joined the Army in 1994. He went to flight school in 2002. He arrived at Fort Drum in July 2003.

CWO3 White had previously been deployed to Iraq twice. He deployed to Afghanistan last October.

In his obituary, White's family said he was a "wonderful man of God, an extraordinary husband to Sarah and loving father to his three children. An outstanding officer and friend, kind and patient, who inspired others to be better spouses, parents and friends. He was serving his country and doing what he loved best - flying."

CWO3 White is survived by his parents, Linda and John; wife, Sarah, and 3 children; brother, Stephen; and maternal grandmother, Mary Goldsby.

Army Chief Warrant Officer 3 Kenneth R. White was killed in action on 6/5/11.
