Remember Our Heroes
Army Sgt. Karl A. Campbell, 34, of Chiefland, Fla.
Sgt. Campbell was assigned to 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.; died Oct. 4, 2010 in Babur, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
Campbell was a cavalry scout assigned to Alpha Troop, 1st Squadron, 75th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
Campbell originally enlisted in the Army and got out in 2003. He re-enlisted in 2009 and arrived at Fort Campbell in January
Campbell is survived by his wife, Jennifer M. Campbell; son, Charles Campbell and stepson, Ty Bartlett, all of Fort Campbell, Ky. Campbell is also survived by daughter, Brea Campbell of Denver, Penn.; stepson, Joseph L. Goble IV of Starke, Fla. and parents, Arthur and Audrey Campbell of Chiefland, Fla.
Army Sgt. Karl A. Campbell was killed in action on 10/4/10.
