I can only cleary recall being in the company of this warrior only once. Last fall, his oldest son Joshua a rather adept football player, began to receive recruitment letters from college scouts. With humbleness yet fatherly pride, he stood and gave acknowledgement and credit to God for blessing his family and children in such a manner. He seemed to be looking forward to sharing the accomplishments of his children. While his family humbly looked on, in modesty he acknowledged his family and the upcoming deployment. Although it seems as if Mr.Carter is absent from the body, we know that he is now "present with the lord." We will all continue to pray for this family's strength."
